Women’s ‘issues’ are human issues. Women’s rights are human rights. Working with women, and concerns that might affect women’s health, may include issues related to one’s gender but may also be the same issues with which all people struggle, filtered through the gender challenges women confront daily. This is our foundation. Some of the demands women inequitably face are trauma, discrimination, harassment, unrealistic or detrimental social norms & expectations, and reproductive concerns. Therapy, from a wholistic and feminist perspective, reframes psychosocial and identity challenges, explores a range of conflicts and concerns, and helps to uncover and amplify resilience, confidence and strength.
