Confidentiality – All information discussed during sessions is confidential and will not be divulged to anyone without expressed written consent.
Limits of Confidentiality – The only circumstances in which confidentiality is over-ridden to seek outside assistance, are legal requirements (when thae client poses imminent danger to themselves or others):
Suicide – Concrete signs of suicidal intention and/or detailed plans indicating likely suicide attempt (Harm to self)
Violence – Planned violence toward others (Harm to others)
Abuse – Planned or committed abuse (Harm to others)
Record Keeping – Brief notes are kept, primarily to organize treatment direction and as reminders of important themes. All information discussed during sessions is confidential and will not be divulged to anyone without expressed written consent. All records are kept privately and treated with the utmost concern for your privacy, in compliance with HIPPA regulations.
Fees – Sessions are 50 minutes in duration, which will begin and end on time, as specified in advance. This is a fixed rule that is in place to establish clear expectations and also, shows respect for each other’s. Should the client be late for a session, the time for the planned session is reduced. Sessions are self-pay, billed at $225 – $300 including tax, on a sliding scale, and collected in advance of each session.
Missed Sessions – Appointment times are reserved for you and therefore must be cancelled no later than 24-hours in advance. In the event this does not occur, you will be charged for the time missed, without exception
